And the fallen angels, one by one, lifted their hands to us, crying, “Got any spare change?”
But, do they deserve our help, we wonder, or is their sad plight self-inflicted?
Just remember: we receive much more grace when we love the Unlovable.
And aren’t we all lost angels sometimes?
I’ve Looked Back on These Pages, and Seen the Words Through Which I’ve Fallen
Our stories, that we’ve categorized as fiction — they’re not.
Not really.
They’re the gathered truths of who we’ve been, and all that we’ve witnessed and felt and done in our little lives.
We may hide “us’ beneath the blanket of “them” , but our fiction always reveals our own fragile selves.
I will never be able to forgive or love Trump…. Your second story reminds me that all we are and all we do are the result of all of our experiences in life. Whether we remember them or not. Well done.
