OOO--early morning and glory in the beauty and generosity of many as our 300,000 year-old humans strive for their humanity! The first wild animals to be domesticated: but are we?
Who knows? I realize that I am and will be working for the full next month on art pieces which I am going to donate to formerly homeless families. Finally got a schedule and approval, etc. today and this is my taking part and taking part!
This is my second art donation....I will tell more about it when time allows---hey, you sitting over there so relaxed---monsieur Time, how about giving me just a wee bit of space???
ThanklsSharron! He is one of my favorites, learned some of hos songs when I started out on guitar. Great memories. Looking forward to the coming winter, my time of healng and resetting reading cooking slower pace.
I DO take heart in this. Morning is my favorite time to reflect on my joyful life and I never take a sunrise for granted. I really enjoyed hearing "Morning has Broken" again. Interesting that it was written some forty years before Cat Stevens recorded it and more than fifty years have passed since then. Yikes!
All will be well, no matter how bleak things look. I go out on the porch in the middle of the night and just stare up at the stars for a minute or two. I find it helps to put esrth’s chaos in perspective
Oh, so beautiful. Thank you. Hymn number 30 in our school hymnbook (I played the piano for school assembly some mornings, and I know many of the hymns - and their numbers in the hymnbook - off by heart)!
Our clocks went back last weekend, and heck, I'm struggling with night starting only three quarters through the day. Jetlag? Whiplash? BOTH? Sigh. Heck, I'll get used to it. Your post has cheered me up immensely, though - you've hit just the right spot! x
Our Tuesday mid-term elections across the board came out far far better than we expected. I hope they can hang on and move forward. It gives is a small ray of hope.
Do excuse me for being so under the radar, dear Sharron - I’m on a bit of a break from the computer at the moment. Sending my VERY VERY best your way! 😀
Dark days of winter, indeed.
A mantra from the 1970s - Keep the Faith, Baby! Love your neighbor!
Love this song - we had it sung by my brother playing his guitar at our wedding in 1978!
It is like a spiritual anthem to us old folks. -- equally to those who have a religion and those of us who don't. Cat Stevens!
Here comes the sun.
What, again? Phew! Something to be grateful for! Thank you, Rich.
Wakey wakey. Feed cats. See if they can have the same space without claws. Feed me. Suns up.
)))
Yawn.... another day, another cup of coffee. Another opportunity. Purrrr...
Every generation has its triumphs and its challenges. We shall overcome. And we will perish.
The sun also rises
, with, or without us.
I love your optimism, Sharron, and Cat Steven’s “Morning Has Broken.” 🌈☀️
"A change is a-gonna come," as they say. It may not be long. I am ready for it, my friend.
Very nice, Sharron, and especially so on this beautiful fall early morning.
Thank you, Ron! A good day to breathe deep, have courage and hope!

Write about this project, Jill. I would love to know more.

This is breathtaking, Sharron. I remember this one. I enjoyed it just as much the second time around!
Ah. well, we have to step back sometimes, friend , and realize the bigger picture! Thanks, Justin. I sure liked your crazy story this week!
Trust me, I completely understand. Thank you, Sharron!

Yes, Tim, me, too. I like the cozying-in dark days.

Winter can be melancholic! I love this song. It was in our booklet of Songs of Praise. We sang it occasionally in school.
Thank you for your comment, Yael. You and I were probably in our thirties when that song first came out! I hope it brings you happy memories.

Thank you, again, Rebecca, We all need a bit of inspiration and hope from time to time. Especially in THIS country of chaos...
Oh gosh, yes, I hear you! Sending strength across the pond! Mind you, we’re in a bit of a pickle over here ourselves right now! 🫣

I’m so pleased to hear it - hurrah!

Thank you. Sharron. It's good to remember that life is tenacious. Let it be.
Amen, cousin.
I love this song. And every morning I look forward to making the best of it. Definitely not a fan of the time change. I need my sunshine all the time.
Hah! Yes. I was up wandering around the house at 5:30. I might actually get something done today... maybe.
I've always liked the song but between the poem and the video, it sure came to life - Thanks Sharon
Blessed Be, my friend.
and to you too Sharon
