The Package
A one-minute story in 100 words, with audio
A package arrived in the post on Monday morning. It had no return address. He left it out on the porch for two days. He’d no idea who it was from, what was in it. Could have been something dangerous.
Three more days passed. She waited for his reply. She thought if he’s too cautious to open it, well, then, he’s the wrong man, and he’ll never know what he missed.
Today, he received an unsigned card. “Open that box,” it said.
So, he took a chance, and in the box he found the phone number of his future wife.
