Nature of the Beast
I spied the muddy tracks on the floor right off. He must have crept in through the garage door when I wasn’t looking. A filthy creature, smelling of … god knows what. I found him and his grubby paws rooting through kitchen cabinets, foraging for food. I came up behind him with a broom and yelled, “Hey!?”
It’s just Harold. The absent-minded, earth-worshiping animal that I’m married to — Beast of the Garden, King of Homegrown Tomatoes.
“Only two things money can’t buy — and that’s true love and _______.”
Loved this! I laughed and laughed!
Homegrown tomatoes are absolutely glorious - although my brother didn't think so for YEARS after he'd plundered the entire greenhouse of them one late-summer afternoon as a small child..... All those tomatoes fought back! Poor lad. 🤣
Very very cool, Sharron! ❤️
