Two very nice pieces that seem to fit together. Thank you for sharing, Sharron.

The baby story gave me the "feels" again.

Short and kind of sweet. An actual memory.

Adorable Water Baby and and a piece of everyday reality in Nothing Done. Most of my life in the last 4 years falls neatly under Nothing Done. Painful. And pithy reality.

Just remember - we are retired and two of the rules we live by are:: "If I don't want to, I don't have to." And "Happy hour can begin anytime after 10 am."

No doubt because you are only 21 and I am.... well ... much older. Thanks for reading my stories, Terry.

I believe in giving my psychological age rather than my chronological one.

'A baby boy in a blue bucket'. Glorious!

Two lovely stories!

(In my life, guilt weighs too heavy on my pen to be able to lift it before I've done my chores!) LOL!

Well, as I proposed to Terry, that is because you are barely in your forties and I am so much no longer in my 40s. I was a very fastidious housekeeper my whole adult life, but now, not so much. I like to do the important stuff first, and, if I find time, I polish my shoes. The sad fact.

I much prefer your way round, Sharron. I clearly need better balance in my life! 🤣

For the record, later this year I shall be starting my fiftieth year on the planet - yup, I'll be turning the big four-nine...

Incredible. You look 30 to me. Must be all that make up...

🤣 I wore make up for the first time in YEARS at that wedding last week... I swear my face is still itching! 😂

(Thank you, but LOL!!! You're so lovely!!!!)

Very sweet, Sharron. Loved both pieces. “Water Baby” is adorable and makes me think of my children/when we used to give them baths in the sink as newborns. They grow up too fast!

Those bath times! Those little kicking legs, the attempt to take a bite out of the bar of soap, the slurping on the wash cloth, the splashing, the squeaking yellow ducky. Times I will never forget. Now my son helps watch over me. As John Lennon said, "And, in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."

Great stories! My earliest memories are of swimming in a large pool. I saw this "pool" some years ago. It wasn't much larger than Baby Boy's blue bucket. And there wasn't enough water in it to swim, even if I could. - I know my priorities have changed. Some things just don't need to be done right away, or even tomorrow. : )

It seemed everything was larger when we were kids! Yes, I am all for procrastination. Some of my best work will be done tomorrow. Thanks for your comment JR

"I can’t imagine anything more beautiful than the back of my baby’s neck" - this gave me goosebumps. My daughter had the most gorgeous red curls when she was baby, and this just brought them back. Thank you!
