Welcome!

LEAVES 🌿 are perfect every morning with your coffee and toast, and much better for your mental health than the daily newspaper or social media. They offer a little respite from this mad world for a few minutes each day.

LEAVES 🌿 is not a blog. It will not help you get fit, or save the planet, or organize your closet, or make a great lasagna. You will find no gossip or politics here, but you will find:

  • short character-driven micro-fiction

  • evocative travel tales from a woman who travels solo

  • family tales from a tribe possibly unlike your own

  • lightly snarky, humorous commentary on life.

Leaves 🌿 also showcases my full-length tale of Bartle Clunes. He is found HERE in the Bartle Clunes archive.

We have a lot in common, you and I — we are, after all, probably of the same species. Admittedly, I am slightly askew from having lived in Santa Cruz my whole life, but if you’re not afraid of dealing with a lightly demented, but invariably optimistic outlook, please stop in daily for a quick read.

LEAVES 🌿 are free for everyone. Subscribers receive a couple of short posts every Saturday and Wednesday via email. Stop by any time here on line to catch up on what you’ve missed. It is all worthy. No kidding.

LEAVES 🌿 home page is found HERE
