The Extraordinary Child
Mildred awoke one morning and found she was expecting a baby. When her son was only three, he’d already become a fully grown man. He thanked her for her service, turned, and left. She never saw him again, nor has she encountered the child’s father, whoever ( or whatever ) he was.
