Thank you, Jim. I am having a little crisis of confidence over here this week. You know how it is. I have two larger pieces I need to begin, and so, naturally, I am fooling around with little throw-away posts instead. I hope you are settling in after your holiday! Hard to do sometimes.
Self-doubt and loss of confidence is a part of the game for everyone. You have many readers who look forward to your posts every week. I have been on Substack all day and haven't written a word! My advice is get to writing those longer pieces but remember, none of your pieces is a "throw away." Let me know if you want to run anything by me.
Speaking of procrastination, I'd better get to work around here before my wife comes home and finds me sitting right where she left me! Haha, Chin up dear!
You are such a sweetheart. Your advice brought a smile back to my face. ( Writing can be a lonely business.) Okay - I will get busy if YOU will too. Deal?
I enjoy your humor. So it is my pleasure. I just wish I had more time to read. I follow too many newsletters and can only read a fraction of them all. It is not a reflection on anyone's writing, just my lack of time and too many interests. 🤓
Thank you, James. I had been musing over some of my previously posted work and feeling a lack of confidence. This short piece was me trying to get into the groove again. It is elusive sometimes... right?
Haha! I love the ending!

Deal!
Funny!
Thanks for reading my (often foolish) stuff, Mark. I know I am just spinning my wheels sometimes, but I am honored you check in over here at 🍁Leaves!

: ) - I thought I was reading the introduction to your 50-worder when IT turned out to be the 50-worder. Very nice!

Yes, it is elusive, but catchable. Most often by just starting up again and not thinking too hard. That's what I tell myself, anyway. : )
Ha ha ha. Yes... just shut down the voices.... and get on with it.
Love stories? hmmf. I say, just the facts, ma'am.
Hmmm, Is this why my wife watches 'Castle?!'
You got this Sharron!
Hah! Thanks, mud-boy for your encouragement. As to why your wife watches "Castle", I would speculate only at my peril...
Me too!
I want this to be MY STORY!!
Right on! Who doesn't?! ha ha ha Except I am sure Meg Oolders will get there. Me, not so much.
Brilliant, Sharron! You always have such terrific twists - that's such a fabulous ending!
Ah well, we all want that to be OUR story. Right?
RIGHT!
Now that is a dream come true! Fun story, Sharron!
Pretty silly. But we can all dream, can't we?
Absolutely. Let’s make them happen! ✍️ 😃
How fun! Catching up on reading, and this tiny tale tickled me. 😊
