OMG !!! I thought water was deadly and roof tops, but THIS !!! AAAAACKKKK ))
WHy why why are you still alive? All this traveling in other countries, hotel rooms the size of a single bed with standing room, VEry odd foods, now this two man slingshot up a mountain. Yikes woman. These are exactly why I am a flatlander in the middle of the corn. Flat. Ahhhhh.. ))))
The people who live on the mountain ride that thing twice a day going to buy their vegetables and milk. It is just an elevator to them. I was thrilled for the experience! My mother, who was in her eighties, did not want to ride in my bucket with me. She wanted her OWN!
That's beautiful. Looks really neat. Would give me the willies but I'd get over it. Squaw Valley at Lake Tahoe has a good gondola/ski lift. In June one year, I took a couple visiting from Brazil up there for the ride. It had been a big snow year. First time that they had ever seen snow.
My dad was not a fan of heights. As a kid, he stepped out of his comfort zone and took me on a small gondola in an amusement park by the beach.(my brother was too small) In a couple minutes, it took a turn and started going out over the ocean. My dad was ready to climb back on the wire!! Can only imagine your thrilling ride, with mom right there. Kudos for your adventuresome spirit and sharing the day!
Looks magnificent! Very jealous of those views. Been in a few different chairlifts but nothing quite like this. I imagine you've got to stay quite still as you go up to avoid some scary swaying? 😂😅

Must have been a phase I was going through. A twenty-four year phase. ha ha ha. Indiana is your paradise!
Wow, look at those views! Gorgeous. I’ve been on plenty of chair lifts/gondolas while skiing, but I have a feeling this one would freak me out a bit!

Oh, what a great experience for them! They no doubt talked about it for years after!

Sounds like your dad was a real gem! Thanks Ron!
I would love to have been there in person. I don't know about that gondola though. How magnificent! And Yea Mom!!!
My mom seemed to face every new venture with childlike enthusiasm. She was a great travel partner
What a great attitude.
You are so much braver than many of us!
Well, maybe then. Now I am quite chicken-hearted. Didn't used to be. Thanks for reading this little thing again, Linda.
Those shots are GORGEOUS! But I'm with Kate, how are you still alive?? 😂 Those buckets look like they could dump you over in an instant!
Yeeeps!
This reminds me: never take a two-year-old on a ferriswheel.
Yikes. Fair warning.
So wonderfully cool. If you can't fly it's at least it's in the right direction.
Sounds like going up in a balloon, which I would never do.
Hundreds of people use the gondolas every day, so I guess it is not dangerous. But definitely new and fun for me.
Oh wow!, I want to go but I'd never get Erin on that thing. BTW, we have booked an Italy cruise for May!
Can't wait.
Oh, that is good news! So glad to hear it. Let me know your ports o' call!
Beautiful scenery. That ride,though...
Thanks for reading at Leaves, Mark!

Thanks for your comment, Daniel. Yes, I am not sure I would try it in a stiff wind!
Fabulous, Sharron!
Gorgeous, breath-taking views! Thank you, Sharron, for sharing with us!
Thanks for reading Jenise! Glad you liked it.
