Free spirit! Like you, Kate, except she paints and writes, you spin and weave.

Toss me backpack to the 60-70s thumb tracking bands cross country songs a short while it seems a-go-go dancer Gypsy on the move broken hearted, looking forward for anywhere but here. Mobile movement, jeans torn, forlorn but how far to next truck town for a stop to eat.

"but just for me, she said. It’s an arcane form of moving meditation, she said. I didn’t believe any of that stuff."

I like that line. It shows that the man had no illusions of a long term relationship but appreciated his time with her nonetheless. Beautiful piece, Sharron. I remembered it from the picture.

Thanks Jim. Some of these pieces bear airing out and need strong revision. I often post too soon. But - I don't recommend YOU do that. You get it right the first time.

LOVE the "anywhere but here" sign, Sharron. Another of your lines I wish I'd used first. Plus, somedays that's exactly what runs through my mind. Hugs!

I know that about you, CJ, through your writings. My mama called that need to just get gone "Having sand in your shoes." She never begrudged me my travels, I will say that. Might it be time for you to hit the road for a while?

Thank you, Yael. Yes, he apparently was on to her, but still had trouble letting her go. Funny how our hearts overpower our brains sometimes...

'She was a poet, creative and sensuous' - and so are you, Sharron. ❤️

Oh, the silver comb. Such a shame she'd left it behind - and that wasn't the only thing, either.....

Yes, she had thoroughly captured him . Though he recognized her for what she was, he had a hard time escaping his feelings. It happens to us so often in this life, doesn't it? Thanks for this encouragement, sweetheart.

Serendipity strikes again. Just this morning talking about Mexico and the U.S., I said, "how can so many rich people be so unhappy?" This woman bears the same empty soul. Thank you, Sharron. Another incisive piece that pierces the heart.
