I am enjoying your Bartle Clunes novel so much. What a vivid description of dear people, and a unique place and time. Dishing it out in small doses increases my pleasure because I have the weekly installments to look forward to. I also find myself lingering longer on each installment than if I could gulp down the whole book at once. -Marina
Wow! I am so happy to hear that, Marina I am frankly surprised how many people are reading it. It is such an old-fashioned, gentle-hearted story - Maybe it makes a nice change in this frantic, action-packed era?
Such an enjoyable read, Sharron! And your images go so well. Kinda makes me long for simpler more hopeful times. And that 1949 Roadster!! What a beauty!
Oh, thanks so much, Lori. Yes, as you say, simpler and more hopeful. It is a kind of fairy tale, I guess. Life was just as complicated in 1949, but definitely a different kind of complicated than today. Bartle Clunes does not pretend to be the great American novel, but it does provide a short break from the unfathomable mess we are in right now. As Adam Clayton Powell Jr told us, "Keep the faith, baby!"
