It is so much fun to watch Bartles, Louvina, and Ayla evolve as a family, grow individually, and follow their dreams.

Well... consider who is writing down this story, Janice! Ha Ha Ha. There is already more than enough meanness and fear in the real world, why would I want to add more? You will find mostly good news in Riles Crossing. People who believe in themselves and in each other. A big surprise is coming at the end of part one and an acquaintance with a lot of new people is coming soon in part two. Stay tuned, my friend.

I have every intention of doing so. Each Saturday, I look for the installments, read them last, and savor them.

Ayla, Bartle and Louvina are coming out from under the bushel basket and letting their light shine. Even Lonnie has a surprise for the family at the end of part one. Then we meet a few new denizens of El Dorado county. Thanks for continuing with this little story, Linda. I am honored.

Love the images, Sharron!

And your description of the foothills at sunrise. Such wholesome decent hard working folk. You have captured a slice of Americana that is so wholesome - a more hopeful time that I miss. 💜

Thank you, Lori, for reading my odd little story. I appreciate so much your comments. Part one of Bartle Clunes will end in two weeks, then a lot of new eccentric characters will enter Riles Crossing and weave their way into the rest of Bartle's story. The story will end before December.

Hard work and persistence is paying off at the Clunes’. Well-deserved.

I am so charmed by this story because now it is much more real, with a couple of disappointing rejections from publishers of Ayla's artworks and then her ability to accept a contract!

You are right. There is not much “bad news” in this story. Not enough to be a best seller! ha ha ha

Best seller for emotions! Not in "monetizing"
