Aw, the little library idea! ... Our daughter in Connecticut just went to a restaurant there where the owner allows the patrons to choose three books from his shelves after they've eaten. Now the little restaurant is so famous, the owner gets boxes of donated books to replenish the restaurant shelves!
WOW! I love that idea. I would go to that restaurant often, just because the owner is so cool. Is love to know what else he has up his sleeve. Thanks for sharing that!
We have one down the street, too. I love to go see what is out there. It is a great idea-- and apparently it was invented way back in 1951... by Eli Flounder. HA HA HA
Lovely! I want to tell you that I built a Little Free Library. No end of fun. During the pandemic, when schools were closed, someone dropped off a stack of board games, which added another level of fun. Thank you for the story.
Those book boxes are quite popular. I have seen them in several states during my vacations. There is one in the neighborhood down the road from us also.
I think you are right. I see them all over our town - two of them here in my block. They get used a lot! Still it made a good plan for the Griggs-Flounder partnership.

We have a book box in our neighborhood, but it isn't nearly as popular as Eli's. OAN - I know that song - "an oldie but goodie."
