Your characters are so sympathetic. Even Rollie who made mistakes and served time. I would like to order 10 copies of your book to give out as Christmas presents. I know a lot of people who would love the book. I will send you a separate email at your email address on this. -Marina
Well... yes. And maybe not in 1950, either. But it is a community from my own head and people can be as kind as I want them to be, can't they. Hahaha. We can call it pure fantasy. Thanks for reading it, Janice.
I was surprised when I read that Rose & Ruth are 29!! I had the impression they were old spinsters. Maybe in those days they were!
I remember when we were teaching ESL, you would show your students several pictures & have them tell a story. Wondering if you are using photos as prompts for your story telling.
Well, yes, 29 might have been a precarious age in 1950, teetering on the brink of too old. Yep, you got me. Photos provide the inspiration for nearly all my writing. I often have no idea in mind, just a photo. I am not sure how many others work that way, but I do like to see what the photos tell me. ESL! Those were the best of times, weren't they!
Nice couple!

Thanks so much, Marina. I am not sure how / where the printing could be done, but I will start looking into it next week.
The new folks are adding an interesting twist. I'm not sure we would find such acceptance and kindness today.

That's true.

Which comes first: the story or the photo?
I’m guessing some of both. Love this chapter!

Well, well. More serendipity. 🤣
