Gratzi. I’ll bite the pizza, pasta, polenta place and be filled with the grace that expresses the tram trolley cross town to shoulder the rolled up photo ad that speaks silence so loudly and as your smooth round words leave rising dough of delight.

LOL re ending! - As I remember, even in southern Italy, the women were of attractive healthy proportions.

You have done your research, then! Good to know! Thanks James Ron

It's easy to lose weight or keep it under control in Mediterranian lands. I lost fifteen pounds while in Israel; then again, I was doing a lot of physical labor and walking a lot for four months. The food was pure and fresh and the milk from the cows was a great laxative. So...... back home, try as I might, the pounds returned in no time at all. sigh

Takes only two things to drop weight - eat less, exercise more. How hard can it be? ha ha ha

Yeah, that exercise part is why I have three artificial joints and a screwed-up sacrum. Don't ever bite the bait when the Jazzercize instructor says you could make a lot more progress if you come three days instead of two. I should've listened to my body!

Sofia Loren and a bowl of gelato. Two spoons. Make that one spoon.

"Seriously, I really would."

Thank you for the quick trip to Italy, my dear.

Does anyone even use that expression any more? Had a nice hook to it, I thought.

Such an entertaining piece! Loved it! And your observations are very accurate. North And south Italy are very different in many ways. Thank you

I believe there is a lot of prejudice among Italians - Naples vs Milan. Rome vs Turin?, etc. Italy is only about as big as California, but seems to be a loosely held-together country in many ways.
