Love that we both went the “portal” route!

She discovered a portal to another world and decided it would be best to stay. Who knows…maybe she even fell in love?

What an intriguing story, Sharron!

Yeah. I am about ready to leave this dimension. Too insane around this one anymore. Take me to a portal, any portal, I will take my chances. Thanks Justin.

Just "a little terrifying". I found this chosen world 40 years ago, and don't want to be teased away. Several good things happened in the last one, but I wouldn't want to go back. Some of the big trees stay, but some don't.

Thanks, Jim. Glad to hear you say that. I love giving details when it comes to settings and characters, but for plots, I strive for including only what is needed. Move the story forward, let the reader's imagination take part. The 50-word stories are good training for that.

Oh this hits close to home. Disappearing into the woods, to sing with the dogs, chatter with the squirrels, and twirrrr with the quail. (twirrrr? gurgle?) Maybe curl up with a cougar or bear.
