Another wonder, Sharron. "We’re alive. Hope lives." Indeed! A wonderful thought to send us on our way to face yet another day (wasn't trying to make a poem, but there you are). :D
Absolutely true, Sharron. The best way to live in these challenging times is to be in the moment with gratitude for the little things. You put this energy out into the world, Sharron, and it is a better place for we who know you.
awww... It is easy to be grateful for the good parts, isn't it? But to be grateful for the bad parts (because the bad parts have lessons for us), much more difficult.
Can't have a good story without conflict, although it doesn't have to be catastrophic. With the rain comes the tension between flood and drought, sometimes wildfire. The earth inspires smells both delicious and repugnant. Children's laughter inspires the best of joy and the pinpoint of irritation. Why that joyful child's laughter in the echoing restaurant last night raked up my spine! Loved this post, Sharron.
Thank you, Sue. I am not a Christian, but I love the part in Scripture that says " In everything, give thanks." In EVERYTHING. How difficult is that, and how important!
Back in the days when I was in the Baha'i Faith, one of the tenets was detachment referred to "tests and difficulties" as "bounties." We'd joke about our tests and say thanks a lot for the bounty. Well, at least that's was I did. I was a snarky Baha'i back then and very little has changed.
Can't ignore evil. Survive anyway.
Yep!

A poet and don't know it. Thanks CJ
You are correct…. Inspiration is everywhere and always. So glad you take advantage of every moment to bring happiness to me and others.
Thanks, neighbor!

Amen.
"We're alive. Hope lives."
Yup, and phew.
Great words, Sharron!
Thank you, Rebecca.

Well.... I just have one word to say to you, my friend
Allah'u'abhá
I KNEW IT! I KNEW YOUR NAME SOUNDED FAMILIAR. I CAN EVEN SEE YOUR FACE BACK IN THOSE DAYS. ALLAH-U-ABHA, DEAR FRIEND.
We are indeed alive. Long live.
So far so good, Nathan. Just got to keep those creative juices flowing!
I think there's no issue there for either of us :)
Thank you again, Sharron, for writing this story. “We’re alive. Hope lives” — four of the most important words I’ve read in a very long time. 🙏
Thank you, Justin, for providing the inspiration!
