I remember this great story of yours! Now, if you had finished cleaning out the shed, what other gems would you have found?!

Goodness knows, but I suspect mice, mold, mildew and not much money making.

Thanks for re-publishing this. I would get back to that shed if I were you.

Oh well, one of these days we'll tackle it. It seems to be one of those life chores that it easy to set on the back burner, as they say. Thanks Scott.

A great family story! I enjoyed it very much. Are there other treasures?

There well may be! My brother has inherited the shed and all it contains, now. It is up to him to sort it all out. I don't see that happening any time soon. Ha Ha

Treasure indeed, Sharron - what a great find! I really enjoyed this post - thank you!

I find it really lovely when people whose words I subscribe to read post something from their archive like this - you see, I most often only read newsletters at the time they are published, meaning that there are tonnes of posts out there which pre-date my subscription to that newsletter! I'm so glad that you reposted this one for me to enjoy today.

I find I do exactly the same, Rebecca. I subscribe to seven writers and read everything they send me on the day they send it. But I rarely have the time to go back and read through their archives. That is my personal impetus for reposting -- especially stories from last year when I had only nine subscribers! You could choose some of your old favorites too and do the same now that your readership has exploded. ( It also gives us a couple of days to work on a new piece that we want to be just perfect.)

I think it's a lovely idea - I've been thinking about it for a while, especially with some of my early stories of getting lost. I need to work out how they'd fit in my posting schedule (sounds more formal than it is... it's a list in pencil which gets rubbed out often!).

LOL re 'exploded' - that's really made me laugh - you're so sweet!

Thanks Susan. I thought I would bring it around again as I had so few readers when I first began., 17 months ago. Makes me want to go out into the shed again and have a poke around...

"Carmel-by-the-Sea." For sure. I thought it was of Point Lobos. Close. Neat story. Crazy how things work out.

Damn! Jesus wasn't a blonde? I am so disappointed.

Sorry, Julia. Although I am sure there are places you can go where Jesus still IS blonde and blue-eyed.

Thanks, Penny. It was very exciting! I am just glad I recognized the artist's name or it would have ended up in the dump!

I love Your writing. I had to brush off cobwebs and my clothes smelled a little musty. I was in the shed with You. And, what a find!
