Congratulations, Sharron! Thank you for the kind words. You have been an inspiration, and it’s been an absolute pleasure reading your work over the past two years.
Aww, thank you my friend! Sharron is the lighthearted, creative, and encouraging friend you need. Also, will take you places you didn't know you needed to go! Happy, happy for you!
Sharron! Congratulations on your anniversary - what a terrific milestone!
The video was incredible - thank you for furnishing me with the best six-ish minutes of my week so far.
And thank you so much for the link - that's really kind of you! You're no small inspiration yourself - in fact your fabulous 50-word stories (and those by a certain Mr J Deming) have been getting me itching to have a go at some flash fiction of my own.
I love your writing, Sharron, and am looking forward to the next two years of it - and beyond!
Thanks, Rebecca. I sure would like to read some fiction from you. I know you will surprise yourself! I suggest finding one of your husband's photos, and writing just ONE line. Then come back later to add a second line. You will be amazed at how an image will tell you what it wants to say if you give it time..
That's a great idea - thanks! I've been playing around with what I'm calling a 'prompt factory' - I'll be writing about it soon (in an effort to delay publishing any actual fiction!). I'm daunted, so I'm procrastinating.....
Thank YOU , Scott. And you're welcome. You were one of my first readers. I remember the thrill of having a stranger subscribe to 🍁Leaves for the first time.
I may have to slow down in posting. Four short pieces a week may be too much - for the subscribers, that is. At the risk of becoming a spammer, I will have to rein it in.
I doubt it. Plus, people will ignore them if it gets to be too many. Like they do mine. 🤣 Have you considered combining them into one newsletter? That works for me. And it increases the odds that there will be at least one that people like. Not that you need to worry about that. 🤓
Yeah, I am not courting readers, Mark. I only write for people who like my writing, because, golly, there are millions of writers to choose from out there, they don't need me to change. Then, too, as a reader I am feeling a little swamped and am having trouble keeping up with the reading. So I may cut back my posts a bit, as others may be feeling overwhelmed too.
I am with you. I write what I like to write (and would like to read.) If readers enjoy it, great, but I certainly don't please the masses. 🤣 I had cut my posting down to once per week. But lately, I have been posting more often thanks to Britpop and writing about music. I keep my weekly Monday Morning Mark scheduled far in advance (currently through February) so I have time to write other stuff when I am inspired. Some weeks I write more than others. I think my readers are used to it. As long as I keep the Monday Morning Mark on a regular schedule, I feel fine with the rest being sporadic.
I gave up trying to keep up with my Substack reading (I follow a stupid number of Substacks.) I have a couple of favorite writers who I try to read most of their posts. But the rest, I just pop in when something looks interesting. I just have too many other interests (and a job, family, etc.) that take up my time. Reading usually gets bumped to some at night before bed.
Sometimes I send two in one post if they are the same theme ( eg two short posts on travel in Italy) or the same mood ( two silly things about cats). It is tricky.
This one brought me comfort. One of my most loved recurring dreams is diving to the bottom of a deep pool. In those dreams I'm always happy and free. I never have to hold my breath for some reason, I just dive down all the way and stay down there, feeling total freedom.
Very nice, Sharron. And the video is great!. Happy Anniversary, and many more! Thank you for mentioning me. The pleasure is all mine. I'm so happy to have made your acquaintance.
Happy Stackaversary. :).
Hah! Thanks, Olga.
Congratulations, Sharron! Thank you for the kind words. You have been an inspiration, and it’s been an absolute pleasure reading your work over the past two years.
Here’s to many more! 🥂
Thanks, Justin. Your friendship and goodness have meant a lot to me.
congrats, Sharron, and thanks for the mention!
Thanks, Terry. I learn a lot from you and I appreciate it.
Aww, thank you my friend! Sharron is the lighthearted, creative, and encouraging friend you need. Also, will take you places you didn't know you needed to go! Happy, happy for you!
Oh, thank you, mud-boy. I wish we were neighbors.
That'd be great! 👍
Two years is tremendous and what a brilliant output. Many congratulations, Sharron. Lovely piece today about dreams.
Thank you, FandF. I may be overdoing it, but it is all I want to do. Fortunately ( for me) I am retired and have time.
Us too! Overdoing it is in the eye of the beholder! As long as it brings you joy!
Comgrats on this milestone! You've done an outstanding job.
Thank you, my friend. I appreciate your support.

Nope. Can't do water. Not even bathtub. Shallow shower only. Some things are primal. Water is one.
Oh, I know that about you. But how about getting caught in the rain?
May your magic words continue to grace Substack.
How sweet! Thank you, Sharon!
Congratulatories on big two. And for being my Substack friend. And such a great commenter. Fly on, dream girl.

I got way too enthusiastic at first and subscribed to so many. I hated to unsubscribe, but I now have kept only my 12 favorites.
That is smart. I need to do that.

Inspiration inspires inspiration ad infinitum, Sharron! It's been a joy to be a part of your Leaves family this year. 💜 Onward and upward!
Thanks, Meg. And I am looking forward to some more stirring, but harmless titillation from Home Raker. So much fun.

Congrats on your anniversary!!
Wow. Didn't I say something about us having like minds? I know we have so much in common in our past.
Very nice, Sharron. And the video is great!. Happy Anniversary, and many more! Thank you for mentioning me. The pleasure is all mine. I'm so happy to have made your acquaintance.
Yes, thank you James Ron. That little film was mesmerizing to me. I am looking forward to the next episode of Jimmy Swann, too.
Happy Anniversary, Sharron. Looking forward to many, many more! And thank you for your kind words. It is always a pleasure to read Leaves.
Thanks, Alexander. And I am enjoying winding my way through the maze of your epics "Chronicles of Samuel Carter" and "The Man Who Wouldn't Die".
🙏 Thank you, Sharron. I hope the mazes bring you much joy, always happy to read your comments!
I love your writing, though I rarely leave comments. Congratulations and thank you!!!
Thank you Sudha. I am glad you are finding pieces you like at 🍁Leaves!
