This is such a beautiful story, Sharron. I didn’t know if this was fact or fiction until I read some of the comments. Your mother sounds like a strong, remarkable woman. Any plans on writing more of her life story? I’d be interested to read whatever you’ve got! Loved this!
Thank you, Justin. You are so kind. To take on my mother's life would be a project too large for me. But I write down memories as they come to me. Some of it is too painful to get down on paper, but some of it is inspiring. You might have a look at "Singing the Cows Home", "North Dakota" and "Montana Kay". Short remembrances. I am working on another one right now, but presented as fiction to, ahem, protect the guilty.
I read this last week and couldn’t find the words to respond to express how much we loved and admired Kay. She was an extraordinary woman who always looked for the positives in life, never complained and loved her children fiercely. We miss her dearly ♥️
Wow, quite a story. You really have a skill of building deep characters in a few words. Is this a true story? Great job!
What an amazing story of what your mom and you went through, Sharron! And I can see your face and personality in the second photo, for sure!
Fact or fiction?
Either way, hoping for more to this story.
Especially the little girl and what becomes of her??? 😉
You are such a tease!
Love this, Sharron. Very special.
I adore this story and the descriptions of local, long-gone establishments.
Bravo!
Oh! It’s You!
Knowing that now makes it even more remarkable.
Thank you

Beautiful! This story has such great depth - and having read the comments I know why I came out in goosepimples reading it! Wow, just WOW.
Oh, my. What an amazing woman and an amazing life!
