It is true, Ken. When I speak Italian, I am a much more gregarious person. And I find I have a better sense of humor in Spanish. One sometimes takes on a whole new persona on acquiring a second ( or third) language.
Oh, thank you Wade. I have been watching for your red Tesla today. I want to bring you cookies. Persimmon cookies. I actually baked them myself! Wonder of wonders!
You and I know that, Janice. I am not sure, but I think that the more beauty we see in the smallest of living things, the less grief we may, feel for our beloved dead.
Chamomile and Johnny Jump Ups both demand gravel parking lots to grow in. Dirt disdained. They are beautiful yellow and purple. Show off for a week and then they are gone till next year.
Having just weeded my patio the other day in preparation for our Christmas party, I can relate. It's amazing how they can grow and thrive in the tiniest cracks and crevices. I almost felt sorry to pull them but at least they weren't flowers.
Yes, a good mantra: Life finds a way. I just said it out loud three times. The gardener in me cheers: It is a flower and not a weed.
Thank you, Sharon
Loved this, Sharron. Reminds me of Smith's "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn."
It does, doesn't it. Where you least expect it...
Reminds me of Tupac’s “The Rose that Grew From the Concrete.”
Yes! And Italian, the romance languages all, somehow help one feel and (re-)think. Happy Christmas and New Year.

There is life and beauty everywhere if you look for it. Happy New Year.
Got to keep those eyes open!
Exquisite! Thank you!

Yes, "It’s a good thing to keep in mind as the new year begins". Very good, Sharron!
Sadly, some people only see what is on their screens.
I saw a lady bug on my viola plant today. Another little bit of natural beauty
Yes it does!

Just the tiniest bit of sunlight, nurturing, water, love....it doesn't take much.
A good thought to take into 2024.
Thank you.
This was a perfect little post 😊😊 Thank you!

It looks happy! Thanks Sharron!
Oh, so beautiful, Sharron. The gifts of observation are so precious. xxx
Yes! Imagine how much is missed by those wandering around with their eyes glued to a phone! So very sad.
