That's got to be very expensive. Toxic: both the drink and the drinker. He signed up for more abuse, so maybe he's happy or just stupid.

Or...maybe he made a vow, for better or worse, and is sticking to it? He still has some kind of hope. Who knows?

In my long long life, yes, I have experienced too drunk to walk home. I believe it was 1972.
