It is remarkable how that knife being stabbed into the boss’s desk resonated with so many readers. I wonder if we all have some pent up hostility that needs releasing?
Great stories, Sharron, and nice to see my casual photos used to such great effect. nThankk you. My favourite: the stabbed note. My least favourite: the jumping out from the bbushes. The bloke's a moron without a doubt.
Each one of these is a gem and reveals so much about people's fear and moments of epiphany. The first one, of course, is every women's dream if only they had the courage. Maybe just enough anger. Maybe just enough.
As for the hapless husband wanting to bring a bit of excitement into the marriage, just the pleasant walk home would warm her heart. And the others, the men who try to hard to please their women and putting up with so much. sigh
I must confess, that second photo showing the well-lit room on the second floor. It looks like a residence, a rather posh one at that, with what looks like a grand piano. Warm light. Music. Intriguing. Definitely not the office. Perhaps it's the lair of the boss. No ... couldn't be.
That upstairs room was the first thing I saw. I thought it might be the boss's fancy office... That seems to be the story that stood out most for my readers. As for the husband lurking in the bush? What a jerk! She gets home from work late every evening and has to put up with that. Urrrgghhh !
True, he's a bonehead for certain. Some men just don't seem to graduate from adolescence. Every time I chance upon a video of some doofus playing with his infant like it was a toy, I want to scream.
Sharron, you are an amazing writer! Every fast fiction, poem, story...just gets better and better! I always look forward to your writings. Keep it up! You are inspiring me to do more! The photographs are perfect for these stories, and stand on their own as beautiful work!
The stab of that knife is palpable!
The knife stab story got the most votes. Makes me wonder about my readers….. ha ha ha
I felt that stab too!

I think you did such a good job connecting us (readers) to the character before the delivery of the knife to that pristine mahogany table lol!
Thanks!
Fun!
Thank you, David!
Each one was electric with anticipation. Love these short stories and the images that accompany them are inspirational for sure. Good job Sharron.
Golly, Annie! Thanks so much.
Best: knife stab ))))) Leap out of bushes should have got a facefull of pepper spray.
Several people like that stab of the knife in the fine desk. So final!
With the other comments--I'm violence and blood shy, but that knife stab--
oh my!
Evocative and human, I enjoy the way you poke at our foibles and reframe them uniquely.
Thanks so much, Jill.
you are simply one of the best writers I've even encountered. Write on! ( and on and on!)
Yowza! I am writing this down and posting it on my fridge! Thanks, Jill
Love your creativity and that each story makes a point.
Thanks, Wade. These are revisions from the archive of last winter. I am not feeling up to snuff this week, creativity is on the fritz.
I'd like to see the leadup stories to these snippets. I think Silk Road is the one in this group that stands out.
Thank you, Ron! I hope you are well and happy these chilly days. Staying in by the fire…

Thanks, kid.
😄
I loved these pictures and stories - each one thought-provoking. What a beautiful combination.
Thank you Janice.
Cities are strange places at night. I remember a couple of these stories (I think.) Silk Street is my favorite.
Everyone likes the knife stab…. In fact, some of my highest-rated stories are the violent ones…. ?
Well, it was more of a statement than violence.
Great little vignettes, Sharron. I really enjoyed them. I remembered Shoreditch#2 because I had to look up Basquiat the first time.
Great photos by Terry
Thank you Jim, for the second look. I am not well this week so I had to revise something from the archive and re-post. I love these Terry photos, too.
Sorry you're not feeling well. Take care of yourself, my friend.

Yes! or terrorizing their poor cats for laughs.
I know it’s already been said, but “Silk Street” is my favorite. They’re all gems, and the photos are equally inspiring!
👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks, sweet girl, for always being so supportive!
Some gloomy, some sad, some happy, some express hopelessness. Excellent pieces. Thank you, Sharron
II am happy you liked them, Yael!
