That was very cruel of you, Sharron. Ever since I first saw The Omen with the great Gregory Peck and the gorgeous Lee Remick, the sign of the beast, 666 has always been especially troubling to me...how did you know that? - Jim

Haha, okay duly noted, Miss Lucifer. Just remember this though, the part you don't know (and there is always something), will get you every time. - Jim

Loved this Sharron. “Gathering darkness” paints a wonderful picture of evil biding its time 👍🏼

This piece just came out of nowhere, as they sometimes do. And, I don't know, with the tenor of the current state of our nation, it seemed apt. ( I should have dedicated it to Elon Musk...)

Shadow play. Hands down a spoof begins. Coyote calls, crows fly on walls. Box of characters waiting for light shadows to change into disguised specters of delight. A wall of moving images with Pachatantra delight. New Year’s beginning. What more stories do you hold in that box if treasures to unfold the past is present. Please me. The day and year is young.

Young, indeed. Where will it go, I wonder. I hope you post these comments on your own Substack, Richard, so more people will have access to them.

Do we all know things we wish we didn't? Then again, getting through them, if they are transparent or ghosts or...? That is something and dark lightens two minutes per day until June 21?

Write more about this on Jillfulness! An interesting subject to expand on! But take time to watch the birds. A live camera.

I have a so-called bird feeder, which not only attracts LOTS of birds, but squirrels are always around for any leftovers dropped. And a couple of Cooper hawks come sailing in once in a while. PLUS deer--4 just left the backyard.

Are you suggesting to write on the things we know which sometimes we wish we didn't? Interesting thought...

Loved the music, very appropriate selection, Sharon.

I'd rather hear a dedication to the evildoers that crash through crowded streets, and shoot up defenseless children in their places of learning. Lets not make it political. Enough evil in the world already, right?
