Hot ‘79 Camaro lemon drip candy pre-spring break do-nuts on a ride. Puffed up pastry with a volley ball served with a spiked tonic twist and flying parachute ride . Across alligator alley what a ride to return to Florida’s frying pan — flips my sunshine state of mind over and over a great read that has touched my cruise control.
The women are ‘gators. Tails wagging . Tenderizing , spiking balls and chutes flying high to return to hotel room, way after dawn yawns . So good to be frisky. I await (part 2).
Watching Olympics and finished Marla and Haylene’s adventures. They tip a few brewski’s. Tarot cards picked, pubs and grub slammed doing down home country two steps and trolling for trouble, find it in Key West. You do a good job with your characters and roaming the roads, never being in Florida. Key Lime pie you missed, but peaches and cream works for me. I’ve never be to New Orleans except to leave from the airport. A great road trip fast and furious. I never got bored. Similes and metaphors with a Colgate smile.
In a Pink Cadillac ))) I missed the music thing since 1950. Fun to check it out now and then with these two insane women. Be careful how you write them so they don't get loose and wreck the place. )))
Lord knows I try to keep them corralled, but it is a challenge. They've been to the racetrack, the casino, alligator wrestling, New Orleans. in a Key West jail. And they spend far too much time in bars. I wonder if they could be reformed? ....nah.
They do, don't they. They get to do all the things I myself have never done - including playing volleyball, parasailing, terrorizing New Orleans, driving across Florida, and going to jail. Thanks for picking up the misspelling!
I live life vicariously through the adventures of these two women! What fun, and Haylene’s expressions are classic! I can’t wait to see where their next adventure will take them!
I'm thinking their next target might be cowboys. Texas rodeo? Wyoming Dude ranch? Colorado on horseback? Not sure yet... Thanks for letting me read early drafts of these aloud to you.
Oh shucks, the girls were right in my neighborhood and I missed them! We could have put them up for the night but my wife would have kept a close eye on that Haylene. (And me )
Oh, I think you could have safely put them up for the night. Due to your marital status, Haylene wouldn't have imposed more than a day, I suspect. And even your wife would have liked her. I like her. A part of me IS her....
I enjoyed the colorful dialogue. Your descriptions put me in the scene, something I admire about your travelogues, as well. Skinny dipping at 2a.m., sounds reasonable. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
I hope they weren’t burning donuts on rainbow crosswalks or rainbow street flags. It’s being prosecuted as a hate crime around the country. Three teenagers in Spokane, WA, are facing prison time for doing it on scooters.
Always an adventure with Haylene and Marla! - "The management was not amused at the view of her backside as she passed the front desk, and they went running after her with a beach towel, saying that if she didn’t want the police involved, noon would be a good time to check out." Hilarious, Sharron!
Thanks, James. I think they are heading for Nevada next - a dude ranch, las Vegas, landsailing out in Ivanpah. I wonder if they will run into Jimmy Swann along the way. Is he still at CLR...?

Nice take on my story, Richard! Thanks for coming along on the trip.
I enjoyed the alligators.
Haylene was not so much into reptiles, but she enjoyed the attentions of Jerome, the alligator wrestler, for a short time ( Part 2)

There are eight short episodes posted so far. Just click on HAYLENE and MARLA at the top right of my home page.
I ‘ll check. Thanks.

A couple of good-hearted, good-time women on the loose. What can go wrong? Thanks for your comments!
Go wrong ? Two women on loose? Your writer skills will continue to entice the super sports Camaro bucket seats to slip down the I 95 to Miami.
Okay! I believe they have plans to go to a dude ranch in Nevada and then out to the desert for a bit of landsailing. Might be fun!
Great descriptions, my favorite being: "adrenaline pumping through her like oil through the State of Alaska."
Thank you Linda. You have been in on this saga from the beginning. Thanks for sticking with it.

Nah..they're having too much fun to change anything. We get to watch at a safe distance. Thanks for that too. )))
My alter-egos...maybe?
Haylene and Maria have quite the adventures......
BTW it is Ft. Myers

Good one Sharron. I'm glad you brought them back.

Oh, thanks so much, KC., for reading this little romp. I like these two women and I wish I could do them justice! I will keep trying.

That will be fun. Jimmy is still at the CLR. I'm not sure when, or if, I will continue the story. Might let it set a spell.
LOVE MISS ARETHA! And I love this story. Never had that much fun on a girl trip ever.
Me neither. I often live vicariously. I think you do too,my friend
And doing so more often as I age.
