Hat: nah, I like them right even, with miles ahead in some directions, lagging where I excell. It makes a full genius with two brains and double lists of skills, a very good life.

Names: I missed that by 20 years early. I remember that silliness about when my daughter was born. ...had my grown-up brains installed well before that.

Loved the movie Body Heat.... we watched it not too long ago. "You're not very bright, I like that in a man' I think were the borrowed words.

The second story seems like an intro to a tryst.

Hmmmm. Maybe so. I had in my mind two men, but, hey!

Nicely done, Sharron. Very nicely done. Loving No 1. But the second one opens up a follow up tale of an evening in the hotel cocktail bar. Less is more.

Thanks, Barrie! Two men? Or man and woman? What do you reckon?

Funny! I used to say to my son, "you know they make those hats with the brim on the front now."

Either of these would make a great opening for a full-length story. Yeah, hat on backwards, staring into the sun. Duh. I laughed at the last line. Totally unexpected.

Cool! Yeah. I think I could maybe get a full page out of the airplane conversation... Thanks KC!

Man, Sharron, those are great fifties, but in the picture there’s only one shown twice.

Thanks, Nathan. I try for depth and drama, but I often find that my strong suit is humor. Glad Substack allows me to experiment and grow.
