Not sure what the stats are these days, but I imagine the divorce rate is above 50% in this country... short attention spans, unwillingness to work at it? Sad.
BEst guess: not a match of personalities and expectations. Who asks " what are your expectations of me when we marry?" Lots of assumptions. Lots of guesses. Nobody knows til life together starts, and then "hey, how come your not doing xxxx like you're ""supposed to""? Didn't know that was important to you. Nobody said. too bad. Not on my list. Deal with it. Bye bye.
Love takes a lot of work and commitment, doesn't it? So many give up with only a half-hearted try. Myself included.
Yaaaay! You are putting in the work! Good man!
Beautiful. Life is so like the seasons.
Thanks for reading, Heather, my friend.
That's life - in 50 words. Good one, Sharron!
Thank you, James Ron!
“How quickly it all happened.”
Love is that way. So is true love.
There is love.... and then there is true love. Is it a matter of intensity or time, I wonder?
Life, love and commitment--all in 50 words. Lovely, Sharron.
Thanks, my hero.
Lovely, Sharron.
Thank you for coming back to read at 🍁Leaves, CJ
So true. I married my wife nine months after meeting her. Forty-two years latter we know a little about dedication and commitment. 😂
I'll bet you do. I was married twice. I wasn't good at it. If I ever get married again, it will be only with an android. ha ha ha
Smart. 😂
Another beautiful story, Sharron. Thank you!
Thanks for the prompt!
This is so wonderful - thank you for another beautiful read, Sharron.
Justin Deming always comes up with interesting prompts for these wee stories. Things I would never think of.
Yup, That's the way it is alright.
