“Dinner in five minutes,” Gerald proudly announced to his in-laws out on the terrace.
He had followed the recipe exactly as directed, but sadly, the minute he took that soufflé from the oven, it crumpled and fell like a soggy dishrag.
Seamlessly, almost as if planned, he dialed Luigi’s Pizza.
A lesson in futility....trying to make souffle, especially for in-laws!
Classic recipe usually fails. The room has to be HOT to keep the temp as close as possible. They always forget to add the Xanthan gum for stability.
