Maybe too soon! But Ray has my vote.

So glad you recognize what he has to offer. He is a good boy, if a little self-centered. Thanks for the vote.

My vote got lost in the mail. I’m with Raymond for free access to gardens. He’s the pur-fect candidate… Cuddles cheated last time. The shoelaces dangle from the chairs. Time to put gravy-in the bowl. Chow down time. Raymond must win. East Santa Cruz needs your your paw prints on every cat post. Vote.

Raymond: A cat whose time has come! Get out the vote, friends.

Smart Raymond. The duties of office would interfere with naps and casual wanders through gardens. Catching mice, voles and birds is a career that takes concentration and devotion. TIME! Office time would cut into his lifestyle and he's likely to walk about squinting... which is hard on the hunt. Politics as a hobby is less fun than birdwatching. HE might reconsider and enjoy the rest of his life. ))

Yeah, I think he has actually breathed a sigh of relief. He's come to his senses, and is already belly up on Dennis' lap even as we speak...

I Knew he is a smart cat by the way he pampers his human and keeps the roommate contract in tact. FINE kitty! )))

Would that such a trust in the peaceful transfer of power would occur today in our own election!

I voted for Raymond for the belly-rubs and gravy in every bowl.

Bailey and Bella want to know if they can vote (my cats)? If so they vote for Raymond and I do as well. Whatever he decides to do.

"...Cuddles of Fairmount Avenue." As in the secret identity of my fictional canine heroine Cerberus? She never told me she was running for anything....

🤣 Perhaps Raymond should hire a Norwegian Forest Cat to deal with all the foreign intervention. Apparently the language of the Lapps is akin to Japanese, and of course, there's a close geographic relationship with Russia. Perhaps a bridge can be built. Maybe .......

I really do need to do my research before opening my mouth. See, it's a problem. My mouth/pen always gets me into trouble.

"Japanese is not related to the Lapp language, which is a member of the Finno-Ugric group of languages:

Japanese

The Japanese language is most likely part of the Ryukyuan family of languages, which was brought to Japan from the Korean peninsula in the 4th century BC. Some linguists believe that Japanese may also be related to Uralic languages, Chinese, or Polynesian.

Lapp language

The Lapp language, also known as Sami, is spoken by the Sami people in northern Finland, Sweden, Norway, and the Kola Peninsula in Russia. It is part of the Finno-Ugric group of languages, which is part of the Uralic language family. " ~~~ Google

Very wisely thought out, Sue. I will send your suggestion to Ray. Between his nap and snack time and brushing and hallway racing.

Ray understands all human languages as long as sardine gravy is involved. He speaks rudimentary dog as well. He's learning from his best friend, Otto-Miguel, the Chiweenie.

Great platform, but how will Raymond pay for all of those goodies? Raymond reminds me of my neighbor down the block. He feeds all the stray cats and has the trashiest yard on the block (He sells real estate!) He happens to have the same name as a recent state senator from El Paso. He has no political experience, but ran for city rep for our district. The name recognition won him a place in a run-off election!

It's actually a good thing Ray was not elected. He has no concept of money -- the only currency he has is mouse or gopher. However , voters, apparently, will vote for anything that glitters and has a pulse. Even your derelict neighbor

Go, Raymond! You ran a great campaign and had my full support. In light of your inexplicable non-win this time I would recommend conserving your political - and all other - energies ready to hit the next election with a bang - and hey, that's licence to chill for the next two years. Seize the moment, friend!
