Thank you, Rebecca. I wanted to leave this one ambiguous. We don't really know who is at fault here, but you have pegged it exactly. Everything is on hold until they talk it out
I hesitate to say that I had coloured myself all judgmental in my view of HIM, and then realised that hang on a second, there are TWO in this tango....!
Oh! Thanks for saying that, Bill. You are very kind. These little stories, with their constraint, look easy, but they are not. They are such excellent practice in separating wheat from chaff.
People waste many of the beautiful days of their lives focusing on petty disagreements. Better to take a walk together in silence and let the Spring breeze work it's magic.
I like your stories a lot. Tolstoy, Ayn Rand, Steven King, Dostoyevsky and Edward Gibbon could learn much from you. Also, anyone who writes books about Hitler.
On Douglas Adams’ planet Lemuella, writers simply stopped writing, I believe, on page 800, regardless of how the plot was progressing. There is some virtue in that approach, too. I don’t know if they wrote sequels.
Thanks for your comment, Mr Switter, about the length of my stories. I have written one 260-page story. It took A LOT of time. I 'll not try that again. I dedicate my time now to pieces of 50 words, up to six chapters. The closer I get to death, the shorter my work becomes it seems. I am so old, I don't even buy unripe bananas.
The title has so many meanings. At least he’s very handsome😅, and probably intellectual (depending on his reading material). I’m going to assume he perks up and finds a better match.
He mights 's well be really reading. He could be there a very long time. Long enough to wonder if its worth getting another appology or just parting ways.
Holding grudges probably does NO one any good. However... in this case, we don't know. Did she forget to buy ice cream? Or did she lose the $400 concert tickets? Or cheat on him? Best not to judge, maybe.
Oh dear, Sharron, those two! I feel they have a pressing need to COMMUNICATE...
A great story under a great title - love love love!

I'm a big fan of apologies. And forgiveness.
Thanks, sweet girl!
Being bitter is poison!
I think you are right, Yael. Like rage, it is all pervasive.
You captured the essence of emotion.

Better yet, just say outloud HEY I need an appology here.
Good!
Thanks, Ms Brown
Not the best of ideas. - he could be waiting a long time.
He sure could. Maybe a little compromising is called for? What a concept!

This seems like the best course of action. Excellent story, Sharron—the picture is a perfect pairing!
This is the best idea ever. Wait it out together. Might work out, might not, but at least the sunshine was not wasted.

X-Men comic books? Tolstoy? Your solution is certainly an option! Glad you noticed the many meanings of"still life".
Definitely Tolstoy!
.. th poor lad.. thoughts n prayers eh .. 🦎🏴☠️🎬
Ah, well, maybe she's had enough. Communication may be a little off.

Or just forgiving her whatever the transgression was? Lots of options are better than sulking.
Not a recipe for a good relationship.

Sharply observed.
Thanks, kids!
Better to be sweet than bitter, take some sugar with that coffee.
Yes! Life is very short.
This looks so peaceful and totally quiet. Bliss.
Yes. Too bad he is making the choice not to enjoy it!
Ι wish I could enjoy similar surroundings... maybe I'd be a bit happier and not as sick and depressed as I am... (sniff)
I feel for your situation, AT.
Thanks, Sharron.... every kind word counts more than you can believe (sniff)
