Yes. The hope, of course, is to keep perspective. Keep the big picture in view, especially in this nasty socio-political climate. Some of us get bogged down in the details and let ourselves lose hope.
Some people are really comfortable with a narrow and seemingly controllable view of the world, but personally, I find it hinders growth and personal peace.
Well,Sharron, Although you start with TAKE heart, I'll not take yours or anyone's, but I will definitely share it with as many as would like or love or adore the precarious life as our hearts rise and fall with each beat.
"life goes on come early morning." Yes and every morning is a good morning.
Thanks for sharing Morning Has Broken. I have always liked that song and never realized that Cat Stevens hadn't written it. Thanks for the bit of history.
I realized recently that my knowledge of and appreciation for popular. music ended in the early 80s. Then I switched to classical music. I can hear a song from 1965 to 1975 and name the band ( and remember where I was, with whom and doing what!) . Maybe you find the same thing.
It is a challenge to stay focused sometimes. Too much information everywhere and virtually none of it true. Exhausting. And I don't even have a TV nor am I part of any social media...
Thank You for this inspiring message of Hope and the song, sung by Cat Stevens. I thought he wrote it. So appreciate knowing the true author was a woman. I give Thanks for You, Sharron!
I often go out on my porch at night, take a deep breath, and stare at the stars for a few minutes, just to remind me that all the drama and nonsense down here is just that, drama and nonsense. Thank you Nathan.
Solstice a stitch in time
Flicker of light
The candle wick short
— then long. Day’s light returns life.
Sweet
That song always give me goosebumps. )))
For over 50 years…
Beautiful
Aw, thanks, David.
I love that song, Sharron, and I love your story. Life is always difficult, but it is also filled with beauty and astonishment. Thank you.

Thanks. Your writing is beautiful.
You are so sweet, Jill. Thank you for your kind comments!
I had forgotten that song - what a lovely reminder - both of the song and the message.
Ms. Walton, my friend, thank you. I imagine that song brings back a memory or two.
The more some things change, the more some things never change. 🤔, or something like that. Good one, Sharron. Good song, also!
Thanks, Ron. That song was an icon of the era, wasn’t it…

Oh, yes!!
We remember the Light. We stand in the Light.

Thank you, Bonita!
I was remembering that lovely song just a few days ago.
The morning of my wedding, my dad led the guests in singing the older hymn version of it, to start things off.
Your writing is a “keeper.” Thank you.
And I really enjoy the thoughts shared by your other readers.
Oh, I love your story. I am sure you had a wonderful, memorable day. It is so nice to have that song to start the morning.
YES!
A lyrical and hopeful message. Thank you, Sharron. Like Jim, I didn't realize Cat Stephens hadn't written that song.
I hope it brought back a brief happy memory, Ken. Thank you
Joy comes in the morning.
Pass the waffles.
Now you're talking, kid!
"Come early morning, the sun will rise again as it has for over four billion years."
When you read this, and really really think about it, it just becomes staggering and incomprehensible. A functionally infinite number of dawns.
Puts things in perspective.

I am a big Cat Stevens fan.
