NFL Super Bowl game was on Valentine’s Day. His season tickets took priority. He did give fair warning ⛔️ kickoff led to a few beers, his team lost. Now he is the pigskin for a new game. Low score expected.
OMG. Good, and funny, too, Sharron! The result of the bachelor party? He wished she wasn't there? She wished she had a pistol? Maybe Lee has dodged a bullet in this relationship. What a mess.
I saw this happen in my own family years ago. Not quite on the wedding day but close enough. Out of town guests had already started to arrive when it was discovered that the groom-to-be had not delivered the deposit nor the final payment to the reception venue that the Father-in-law-to-be had provided. It was a bonafide shit show. I'm smiling as I write this because it all worked out for the best, at least for the bride.
It's fun to imagine what happened to him. But I think he might be glad - in hind sight and break it off. She looks like a high-maintenance woman to me.
And…
AND…
🤨
You are on your own with this one, Jack. I am not sure who the villain is here...
Whatever happened before his arrival is NOTHING like what is about to happen. Ya, he's doomed alright.
Good cliff-hanger ))))
Or not?? He's arrived, maybe shredded but his To-Become? We'll see what our imaginations elicit!
It is up to you on this one, Jill. I am not sure who to blame here.
if anyone?
Some how I feel he is better off with out her, but I am not sure...
They are NOT a match. So party on and everybody go home )))
Good thing they found out before it was too late.
annulments aren't as costy as divorces, but I think there might be a time zone for major expenses.... like more than a week.
Always a fine distraction from the overhanging leaveless branches of the world: maybe they will get blossoms????
Hah! Maybe so. Thanks, Jill
Doofus! I hope she releases her anger to her satisfaction and then boogies on to the next prospect. This one's a loser. There but for the grace .....
You may be right... but then....?
This will test them both. Are they worthy of each other?

Hah! I think maybe they both got lucky before committing themselves to a life together...

Well, yes! That is what I think. Sometimes a crisis is good to find out the true character of someone.
There is more to this than just cold feet. An exciting setup,Sharron. "Flatten out and run through a shredder", what an original figure of speech.
Thank you KC. A mismatch if I ever saw one.

Your story like one of those family stories that are told and retold year after year. And, no doubt, gets better each time it is shared. Thanks, Jim!
Interesting that he came after the fact. What does that say?
Well, I think we need a bit more information.... ha ha ha!
Anything would do… scissors… a fork…
Hah! Yes, probably.
Ha! Thanks for this diversion, Sharron!
Aw, a little one-minute escape never hurts, right?
Haha. The fallout will no doubt be worse than that scowl!
I hope he realized that she wanted to shoot him BEFORE asking what happened or making sure he was all right.... fair warning.
He’s been through 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, but he “ain’t seen nothin’ yet!” This is a delicious set up, Sharron!

Love this, Sharron … the perfect balance between ‘enough’ and ‘not-quite-enough’. Good to keep the reader guessing about ‘what next’.
Thanks, Barrie!
