Spent a dinner with new friends and finished my plate last. They were wolves at the table didn’t have much to say except to belittle others. The lamb chop bones were tossed. The tree precisely ornamented and lit was dry after three weeks. It was a free dinner, but At what cost . Indigestion and gas a small present and I was relieved that I left before the dash of rain came. Holiday dinners can be tough to take. But the offer was clear with water to drink. The effort was made. The company Kept me fed. I got a blank journal for notes and hopefully 2025 will be filled with nourishment. Thank you Sharron for this early morning read. Who knows what Christmas Day will bring. Soon find out.
Warm hugs on you and pets for Raymond )) Quietly festive here, as it should be. Turkey dinner for my darlin Dan and me at 2. Treats for kitty Hansel, the last elder of 9, and a quick romp in the garden for him while temps are up to 33. Made GF bread for the stuffing last night. Fruit salad for desert. Light and deep fog already at 7 this am. Only 3 cars on the highway. Crossing fingers for no snow or ice, but just on the edge. E sent a 4 inch Liptov lace star she made for my 6 inch tree strung with festoons of tiny beads. )) A merry and a happy to all.
Beautiful message and wise words, Sharron. Life is short, sometimes very short, and we must try our best to understand, find common ground and just listen. Really listen. While we still can and for those we hold dear and love, there is no more important task in our lives. Thanks for sharing - Jim
Oh there are so many apologies to be made, but the recipients are unreachable. Or is that just my excuse? I hate my voices and evict them whenever they become annoying. Still, there are people who bless my days. Their voices are the ones I will listen to today. I'm especially excited to hear the little ones, so enthralled with life and struggling to learn to get along with each other. I hope we can teach them right.
Have a great holiday today and whatever it may bring to you. Hope you can feel the big hug I'm sending to you right now. Stay warm and dry. I can't wait to read what you have to say in the coming year. Allah-u-Abha!
Such a great message, neighbor. We all have regrets, especially as time grows shorter. My greatest regret I can never atone for as Lynda is gone. That brings a special sadness. Thank you for all the insight you bring from week to week.
Thank you, Janice. Happiest of holidays to you and to all those who love you. I hope you are not the chief cook today, my friend. Let people wait on you, I say!
Wise words, Sharron. The apologies and amends are for us. Whether they are accepted or not, we are set free. Same thing for forgiveness. We forgive unconditionally and are set free whether those who have offended acknowledge it or not. Happy New Year.
Exactly,Ken. I find that to give - whether it is chocolates, diamonds or apologies, ALWAYS benefits the giver as much as the receiver. It is so good to begin the new year having cleared my conscience as much as possible. And, as you say, you do what you can do to atone and then you have to hope it is accepted. I have enjoyed our conversations, Mr Knouse!

Hah! Good luck, Richard. Sounds like you will need it! And a wild time was had by all, right? Happy day to you and your entire tribe!

Sounds like a beautiful day back there in Indiana! Stay in, stay safe and cozy, my friend.

Yes. Really listen. We forget how to do it sometimes. Happy day to you at the Wilsky's Christmas.

And you as well, my friend. I look forward to your writings in the coming year.
Hear! Hear! Great message, Sharron. Thank you.

I have cookies for you today. Wonder of wonders!
Hi Sharron, These are wise words from a wise lady. I love the new picture

Thanks, Janice. Enjoy this day!
❤️❤️❤️
Wise words, Sharron. And tell them you love them regardless of the petty differences.
Yes! Thanks, my friend.
Sharron, I loved listening to your voice reading the poem. Your voice is as soothing as your poems. This is some really good advice.
Oh! Good, Kathleen. I have just been experimenting with voice overs. It helps to know that it suits you! I might try again.
Oh, please do

Yo, tambien
¿Cómo es que hablas Español, Ken?
My wife was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. Also I live in an overwhelmingly Hispanic city on the border. Tu hablas bien, tambien.
Pues, antes, si. Pero ahora hablo una mezcla de Español y Italiano. Es difícil separarlas. Es una cosa de edad avanzada...
Thank you for these thoughtful and encouraging words, Sharron. 🙏

Family is everything. Thank you for making me think, Sharron. 'Unfinished business', gosh, yes.
