OUCH! That's a hard choice, Sharron. I lean towards the second, but that first one is brutal.

They BOTH sound so true. Just moments apart.

Or true for different people at the same time.

I love this. I chose second one. I’ve thought about writing an entire short story, one in first person one in third person in a second post and seeing which people prefer. Seems a little too meta for me though.

That's a tough choice but I think I'll go with #1.

I prefer B. It has more pathos and mystery.

I'll go with "B". I liked "A" at first because she knew he had already stopped caring. Then "B" because he set her free. She now has her time and space but he, perhaps reluctantly, is gone.

I’m more fascinated by A, but they’re so interesting in tandem, contrasting.

As I've often said, I love a good mystery, so I choose “B.”

I don’t like either. How about “Go then for a while. Please come back when you are ready.

I'd got for door #2

I like the second one more because I simply felt it more. The pain he’s feeling - a mark of him still being in love - is flat-out heartbreaking!

B

It's more to the point, if that makes sense.

Neither - how about "we need to talk" - is there any middle ground?

I like A but LOVE B. A is straightforward; they're both on the same page: unhappy with the relationship, and happy to move on. B tells a much more complicated and intriguing tale - it's an opening scene to a romantic film which may or may not have a happy ending. THIS relationship is toast, but will she find a better one? Find HERSELF, perhaps?

Oooooooooh! Sharron, I want MORE!!!

A. More gut punch and I like gut punch.
